Sheryl Wolowice
At age 12, I chose Physical Therapy as my career path; my path never strayed. Upon completing high school, I continued my education at California State University Fresno, where I became a member of the first MPT class to graduate from that institution. I also earned a Bachelor's in Health Science with an emphasis in Community Health.
Following my education, I have worked in several arenas, including Geriatrics, hospital in and outpatient settings, and the private clinic setting. My opportunities in these areas have included: Director of Physical Therapy in a hospital setting (including outpatient and inpatient care), a direct role in the development of three separate wound care programs, development of a neuropathy program, and continuing study and practice in the area of lymphedema. I was also the lead therapist in the start up of an inpatient Joint Replacement Program at the local hospital.
When I am not working in the clinic, I enjoy participating in community education and outreach programs.
The remainder of my time is dedicated to my husband and two awesome children, who are the lights of my life, and the reason I can be so enthusiastic about my career.
I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime, to love what I do everyday, and to share that gift with others.
